NIGHT on September 17,

Representatives from nine
firms attended the event.
Our seniors met with the
firm representatives from
6:00 to 7:00, providing
resumes and exchanging
information. From 7:00 to
8:00 our other majors
attended to meet the
representatives, discuss
career alternatives, and to
possibly gain information
about internships.
It was once again a
successful event, and we
thank all who attended and

Chase Published in
Journal of Accountancy |
Bruce Chase, professor of
accounting and director of
RU's Government and
Non-Profit Assistance
Center, recently published,
"Balancing Governmental
Budgets under GASB 54," in
the November edition of the
Journal of Accountancy. The
article outlines a major
change in how state and
local governments report
information in financial
statements. Chase
co-authored the article with
John Montoro, a
Richmond-based partner with
regional accounting firm
Cherry, Bekaert and Holland,
L.L.P., which specializes in
quality assurance, training
and service delivery to
local governments, state
agencies and related
entities. |
